A Message from Pastor Shaver:
As the Body of Christ in the world, we, first, are responsible for sharing the good news that God is with us in the midst of threat and suffering. Throughout the Gospels, Jesus Christ comforted the afflicted, healed the sick, and touched the untouchable. Jesus offers abiding and abundant grace, and we are called to offer the same care to ourselves and our neighbors.
That care requires adjusting the ways we “gather” for a time.
We have started to have our services in the church. We now have our choir singing again. We have started our Children’s Sunday classes and we plan to start resuming our normal church functions. We are going slow but will get there soon.
You may bring checks to the office during Tuesday office hours (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.), send checks to the church, or place them in the locked mailbox at the fellowship hall.
Persons should feel free to continue to contact me or other church leaders for pastoral needs or other church-related matters. We are called and empowered to continue to be the Body of Christ, finding new ways to “touch” a world in need of healing. You are in my prayers.
